WorldCat API, Social Software, and making things easier

In this presentation, David will briefly go over some of the things Cal State is doing with the WorldCat API, other application programming interfaces, and why this is important to libraries in general, and the utility of social software in libraries in particular.

There are three screen casts, each about 5:00 minutes long.

You can get more information about the WorldCat API on the OCLC website, and also from a presentation David gave at the Code4Lib conference in Portland last February.  Also check out the Cal State Xerxes project, which is the code behind the presentation here.
